On August 25, the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department (Department of Health) announced that it had coordinated with the People's Committee of Cho Lon Ward to inspect the General Clinic of Hoan Cau Medical Services One Member Co., Ltd. (Chau Van Liem Street, Cho Lon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

During the inspection, the team discovered that the clinic was providing medical services beyond its scope of expertise (abortion at 7 weeks and 5 days) and engaging in advertising that did not comply with regulations. According to the statement of Doctor NTN, who performed the vacuum aspiration abortion, Seduxen was used as a pre-anesthetic for the patient, but this was not reflected in the patient's medical records. Furthermore, the prescription in the medical records did not match the medication the patient provided to the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department.

The Inspection and Legal Affairs Department will continue to invite the company, doctor NTN, and related individuals to work with them to clarify relevant issues, compile dossiers, and strictly handle administrative violations by organizations and individuals in accordance with the law. The results of the handling will be publicly announced on the Department of Health 's electronic portal.

The Department of Health recommends that the Ministry of Health promptly implement a nationwide application for managing practicing medical personnel. This would allow provincial Departments of Health to update practice licenses and operating permits on the common management software of the healthcare system, enabling online lookup, facilitating management and inspection, and helping citizens and healthcare facilities easily verify practice information. This would prevent situations where practitioners are granted multiple practice certificates and register to practice in multiple provinces/cities simultaneously.
