Da Nang trains commune and ward officials on social evil prevention skills

DNO - On the morning of December 2, the Department of Health of Da Nang City organized a training conference on social evil prevention and control in 2025 for more than 100 trainees who are leaders and officers working on social evil prevention and control in 28 communes, wards and special zones in the city.

During the 2 days, the trainees were updated on a number of topics such as: the situation of human trafficking crimes in the world, in Vietnam and in Da Nang city; basic contents of the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking in 2024 and Decree No. 162/2025/ND-CP; general knowledge of social work with victims of trafficking; identification of psychological characteristics of victims, methods, skills of approach, communication skills, counseling, and consultation for grassroots staff.

City regulations on policies and regimes to support victims of trafficking, inter-sectoral coordination mechanisms in receiving, protecting and supporting victims; current prostitution situation, and the harmful effects of prostitution on people, families and society.

In addition, students studied and discussed legal regulations on prostitution prevention and control; measures to handle violations, policies to support prostitutes to reform and reintegrate into the community, and the implementation of Decision No. 1010/QD-UBND on receiving prostitutes at risk of abuse into social protection facilities for emergency care and protection.

The conference helps officials in charge of the field improve their professional work and consulting quality; organize and implement programs and plans on preventing and combating social evils, especially preventing and combating prostitution, human trafficking, and supporting victims in Da Nang city.
