Yen Truong commune was established on the basis of merging 4 communes, of which 3 communes have met the advanced NTM standards; large population size, abundant labor force, increasingly improved educational level; large land area that can be planned for residential, commercial, production and service areas in line with urbanization orientation; basic infrastructure system is fully invested. The commune has a strategic geographical location, located near key traffic routes convenient for trade, service development, investment attraction; Yen Truong people have a tradition of solidarity and creativity... Farmers of Yen Truong commune produce winter vegetables.

The first Congress of Yen Truong Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, set out 25 targets on economy , culture - society, environment, national defense - security, and Party building. In particular, striving for an average annual growth rate of total product value in the area of 11.5% or more; average income per capita/year by 2030 reaching 115 million VND or more; agricultural area concentrated for large-scale agricultural production applying high technology in the period of 2026-2030 reaching 330 hectares; investment capital from the local state budget in the period of 2026-2030 reaching 500 billion VND or more... To effectively implement the above targets, immediately after the congress, the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee quickly completed the organizational structure, issued working regulations, and assigned specific tasks to each Party Committee member. The Party Executive Committee of the commune builds an action program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Party Delegates of the commune, term 2025-2030. The program content sets out the main tasks and solutions with high feasibility to effectively implement the targets and tasks of the congress resolution, especially the solutions to implement 4 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs.

Accordingly, in terms of economy, the commune promotes land accumulation and concentration, develops high-tech commodity agriculture , forms concentrated production areas and sustainable value chains. Develops livestock farming in the direction of concentrated, high-tech farms associated with the construction of concentrated food processing facilities; builds the program "Agricultural development associated with advanced new rural construction in the period 2026-2030" and the plan "Product development (OCOP) in the period 2026-2030"; builds and implements the project "Building advanced new rural communes by 2030". The commune encourages all economic sectors to invest in large-scale industrial and handicraft production; develops service sectors in a diversified and quality-enhancing direction, creating fundamental changes in trade and service development, especially developing key tourism products with competitive advantages...

Regarding culture and society , the commune has developed a project "Improving the quality of education and training in the commune by 2030, with a vision to 2045", a project "Developing tourism associated with promoting historical and cultural values in Yen Truong commune in the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045"...

Currently, Yen Truong commune is focusing on directing agricultural production, restoring the area of crops, livestock, farms, and households. Focusing on winter crop production in 2024-2025 with a total area of crops linked to production and consumption reaching over 130.63 hectares; consolidating land for large-scale agricultural production, applying high technology on 52.1 hectares. Maintaining a stable livestock industry with 30 farms and 2,604 households. Disease prevention work has been promoted to control diseases well so that people have income at the end of the year. Many new types of aquatic products have been introduced into intensive farming, gradually applying high technology in production. Implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, the commune continues to maintain 10 OCOP products with 3-star certification and is completing the dossier to submit to the province for scoring and recognition of 1 OCOP 4-star product.

Regarding the management of basic construction investment, the commune is actively promoting site clearance. The total number of public investment projects using land registered for site clearance in 2025 is 9 projects with a total area of 5.67 hectares of assigned site clearance, of which 5 projects have completed site clearance of 4.59 hectares, reaching 80.95% of the plan.

Culture and society continue to receive attention and investment. The commune strengthens the direction of schools to apply science and technology in teaching and learning to accelerate the digital transformation process in education in the commune in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; launched to respond to World Digital Transformation Day. The operation of the public administration service center meets the requirements of the people and businesses. The rate of online public services and online payments reaches 100%.

In general, in the new development stage, Yen Truong commune is focusing resources to effectively exploit existing potentials and advantages to promote socio-economic development. The immediate task is to improve the capacity, sense of responsibility, pioneering spirit and exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially the leaders of Party committees, authorities, sectors and mass organizations. Clearly assign and divide the responsibilities of each department and each individual in the organization to perform tasks, ensuring the right person, the right job.
