Accordingly, the Food Safety Department received information regarding a suspected food poisoning incident at the Xín Mần District Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School in Hà Giang Province. Specifically, approximately 55 students exhibited symptoms of abdominal pain, nausea, and dizziness after consuming food at a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration held at the school.
Given the situation, the Food Safety Department requests the Ha Giang Provincial Department of Health to urgently suspend the operation of the food supplier suspected of causing food poisoning.

In addition, the Department of Health of Ha Giang province is conducting investigations and tracing the origin of food to clearly identify the source of raw materials and food supplied to the processing facility suspected of causing the poisoning; and collecting food and biological samples for testing to determine the cause. Furthermore, the Department of Health of Ha Giang province is detecting and strictly handling any violations of food safety regulations (if any) and publicly disclosing the results to promptly warn the community.
In addition, the Food Safety Department requested the Ha Giang Provincial Department of Health to strengthen propaganda and guidance for collective kitchens and food service establishments to ensure hygiene and food safety conditions. Kitchens must strictly implement the management of food ingredient origins, three-step food inspection, food sample retention, and hygiene in all processing stages.
Furthermore, the Food Safety Department requests the Department of Health of Ha Giang province to strictly implement the contents of Official Letter No. 2487/BYT-ATTP dated May 11, 2024 and Official Letter No. 3113/BYT-ATTP dated June 7, 2024 of the Ministry of Health on preventing and handling food poisoning, and strengthening food poisoning prevention and control efforts.
Previously, the Food Safety Department also issued Official Letter No. 2385/ATTP-NDTT to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health regarding the investigation and handling of a suspected food poisoning incident.
Accordingly, the Food Safety Department received information regarding a suspected food poisoning incident at Ton Duc Thang Secondary School in Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province. Approximately 21 students exhibited symptoms of abdominal pain, nausea, and dizziness after consuming food at a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration organized by the Parents' Association of Class 7/1, specifically milk tea purchased from the CBSG tea and milk tea shop on Phung Hung Street.
Given the situation, the Food Safety Department requests the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health to urgently suspend the operation of the food supplier suspected of causing food poisoning.
