On March 20, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Tourism Association held a meeting with agencies, businesses and the press to introduce the Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2024.
Mr. Vu The Binh said that it is expected that about 3,500 Vietnamese and international businesses will come to work with about 80,000 visitors to the fair.
Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said the fair will take place for 4 days from April 11 to 14, in Hanoi .
With the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green transformation for sustainable development", VITM Hanoi 2024 contributes to promoting a new trend: responsible tourism associated with environmental protection for development.
The fair will feature about 450 booths, of which 25% will be international. Tourism businesses and destination management agencies will introduce and provide products directly to tourists and partner businesses. It is expected that about 3,500 Vietnamese and international businesses will come to work with about 80,000 Vietnamese and international visitors to visit and buy products at the fair.
A representative of Vietnam Airlines said that they will cooperate with travel agencies to provide 10,000 cheap air tickets for tourists at the fair. For individual customers, there will be a discount of up to 15%.
VITM 2024 brings together about 450 booths, of which 25% are international booths.
Regarding the provision of discounted tours, Mr. Vu The Binh said that the association encourages businesses attending the fair to have discount programs for customers, but the amount of discount depends entirely on the businesses.
As the leading tourism promotion event in Vietnam and the region, VITM will create opportunities for Vietnamese and international tourism businesses to promote their brands, introduce products and develop tourism business relationships; at the same time, promote growth in all three types of tourism: bringing Vietnamese tourists abroad (Outbound), rapidly increasing the number of international tourists to Vietnam (Inbound) and continuing to develop domestic tourism, contributing to the goal of accelerating recovery, accelerating the development of Vietnam's tourism effectively and sustainably in the spirit of the Government's resolution.
