Honoring 282 outstanding individuals and organizations in the tourism industry

Within the framework of the Vietnam International Travel Mart - VITM Hanoi 2024, the VITA AWARDS Award Ceremony took place on April 11 in Hanoi. The event has been organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association since 2018 and has received the attention of the tourism community nationwide.

Speaking at the program, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Tourism Association Cao Thi Ngoc Lan said: “For many years, emulation and reward work has always been highly valued by Vietnam Tourism Association. This activity aims to encourage tourism businesses to promote emulation movements, encourage the spirit of innovation, creativity and constantly improve the quality of tourism services as well as build business brands”.

Vietnam's tourism industry is entering a period of recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic. Looking back at 2023, our country welcomed 12.6 million international visitors, served more than 108 million domestic visitors and earned 678.3 trillion VND. Achieving these results is thanks to the great contributions and support of individuals and organizations operating in the tourism industry.

Overview of the VITA AWARDS 2024 Award Ceremony.

Based on the achievement reports of specialized tourism associations, tourism associations of provinces and cities and member enterprises, the VITA Emulation and Reward Council reviewed, selected and decided to honor 112 outstanding individuals and 170 groups.

Among the individuals named, there are 2 individuals who have made special contributions, creating conditions for the successful organization of national tourism activities. VITA also awarded certificates of merit to leaders of tourism units and agencies across the country, representatives of travel businesses, accommodation establishments and journalists who have had many outstanding achievements in 2023.

Through this event, the Vietnam Tourism Association also introduced unique products and services, attractive destinations in our country, creating favorable opportunities for customers to choose suitable, reputable and quality tourism brands.

In addition to the VITA AWARDS Award Ceremony, Vietnam International Travel Mart - VITM Hanoi 2024 also carries out many special activities such as: Forum "Vietnam Tourism - Green transformation for sustainable development"; conferences to promote and advertise tourism of the Mekong Delta and the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh...
