On the afternoon of July 23, a press conference was held in Hanoi to announce the "My Vietnam 2025" Run. With the theme "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit", each step of the "My Vietnam" Run is a deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and grandfathers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people. In particular, the run is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Ms. Hoang Hoa Anh Duc, Representative of Vietnam Exhibition Center, said: With the support of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, the Vietnam I Am Running Race - My Vietnam 2025 will take place on August 24, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center - one of the 10 largest exhibition complexes in the world , and the Co Loa relic site (Dong Anh, Hanoi).
“That Vietnam I Am” is not just a regular marathon, but also a meaningful adventure, taking participants from the modern life of 21st century Hanoi to the more than 2,000-year-old Co Loa citadel - the capital of the Au Lac country of the ancient Vietnamese. This is a rare opportunity to explore a land rich in cultural and historical traditions, where legendary stories about the crossbow, An Duong Vuong, My Chau, Trong Thuy are preserved, along with unique architectural works that have been preserved and conserved to this day such as Co Loa Communal House, Thuong Temple, Ba Chua Temple, Ngoc Well, etc.

The race is expected to widely promote the image of Co Loa - a symbol of the creativity and technical level of the ancient Vietnamese people - to become an attractive tourist destination, attracting domestic and foreign visitors, and associated with the Vietnam Exhibition Center, a modern construction, typical of the new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
By bringing participants from the modern life of 21st century Hanoi to the Co Loa citadel, which is more than 2,000 years old, the race is expected to widely promote the historical and cultural values of the nation. This event is an opportunity for the young generation to review together the 80-year journey of building and developing the country, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and the development aspirations of Vietnam in the new era. With the time of organization in August, the race will also be immersed in the atmosphere of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2.

In particular, the race and experiential activities will take place at the iconic location of the Vietnam Exhibition Center - one of the 10 largest exhibition complexes in the world, and Vinhomes Global Gate Co Loa urban area - the new gateway to Hanoi Capital. This combination creates a large-scale, modern and friendly space for athletes, and is also a fusion between history and the present, between cultural depth and development aspirations. Not just a simple sporting event, "Vietnam I Am That Run" carries a great mission, which is to promote a green, healthy and environmentally responsible lifestyle. The organizers aim to minimize plastic waste, increase green experiences, thereby spreading the message of sustainable transformation with the community, contributing to realizing the Government's commitment to zero net emissions before 2050.
The My Vietnam 2025 race is expected to attract more than 20,000 athletes, including professional, semi-professional and tourist athletes. Many professional athletes will participate in the race, including former national track and field athlete Do Quoc Luat, one of the notable faces.
The race is divided into 4 competition distances: 42km (2,500 athletes), 21km (4,000 athletes), 9.2km (4,500 athletes) and 2.9km (9,000 athletes).
