20 international investment funds participate in DAVAS 2025

(PLVN) - The event gathered more than 20 international investment funds with a total investment of more than 3.5 billion USD, opening up breakthrough opportunities for the Da Nang startup ecosystem.

On May 30, the Danang Venture and Angel Investment Forum 2025 (DAVAS 2025) officially opened in Da Nang City, attracting hundreds of domestic and foreign delegates, including more than 20 investment funds from Singapore, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong (China) and Vietnam with a total investment of more than 3.5 billion USD.

The event was organized by the City's Center for Supporting Innovative Startups in collaboration with Quest Ventures Investment Fund and HVA Investment Joint Stock Company, under the direction of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang.

DAVAS 2025 is not only a meeting place for investors and the startup community, but also a testament to Da Nang's strong transformation on the global innovation map. With more than 60 speakers and experts from developed countries such as the US, Germany, Singapore, India, etc. and 36 typical startup projects, the forum brings a series of rich activities such as capital calling, 1:1 investment connection, signing strategic cooperation, launching the network and innovation space.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee affirmed: "Da Nang is committed to accompanying businesses, putting businesses at the center of the innovative startup ecosystem. We will continue to implement breakthrough policies to promote innovation, including tax exemption, financial support and development of science and technology infrastructure."

In 2025, Da Nang made a strong impression when it rose to 766th place on StartupBlink’s Global Startup Ecosystem Index, up 130 places from the previous year. The city was also honored for 4 consecutive years as an “Attractive City for Innovative Startups” and was in the top 5 localities with the highest innovation index in the country (PII 2024).

A series of cooperation agreements were signed at the forum between domestic and international organizations, notably: Danang Center for Supporting Innovative Startups and Innovation with the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Japan (E-Future); Fundgo Investment Fund; TrustXLabs Technology Company; IPTP Networks Company Limited; VP Bank... These cooperations will contribute to realizing support, incubation and acceleration activities for startups in Danang.

DAVAS 2025 also marks the birth of the SIC student startup club network and the Executive Board of the YBA Danang Young Entrepreneurs Investment and Startup Club, important successor forces in the journey to develop a sustainable innovation ecosystem.

With its expanded scale, rich content and the participation of many international investors, DAVAS 2025 once again affirms its important role as a bridge, making Da Nang a leading innovation center in the region in the near future.
