On the evening of May 28th, a leader of the People's Committee of Cao Lanh District, Dong Thap Province, confirmed that at approximately 4:20 PM that day, a drowning incident occurred in Hamlet 2, My Hiep Commune, Cao Lanh District, resulting in the deaths of three sisters.
The riverbank near the My Hiep fruit wholesale market, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province, is where three young girls drowned while swimming.
Specifically, at that time, a group of children went swimming in the Ba Du River, near the My Hiep fruit wholesale market (Hamlet 2, My Hiep Commune, Cao Lanh District), and subsequently drowned , resulting in the deaths of three sisters: NNNH (13 years old), NNNN (9 years old), and NNNH (7 years old, residing in the same locality).
Local residents came to watch the search for the drowned children.
According to information provided by the family, the children had previously asked their family for permission to go swimming in the Ba Du River. When they didn't come back up after a long time, the family went to the riverbank to look for them and discovered the bodies of the two older children, NNNH and NNNN.
The body of the youngest child has yet to be found. Currently, rescue forces from Dong Thap province and local residents are continuing to assist the family in searching for the remaining child's body.
