41 candidates from Ha Tinh province meet the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025

According to the report of the Office of the State Council of Professors, in 2025, 1,073 candidates (100 professor candidates, 973 associate professor candidates) submitted applications for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor at 117 basic professor councils.

After a months-long selection, assessment and voting process, 900 candidates achieved the required number of votes of confidence, including 71 professor candidates and 829 associate professor candidates. Of the total number of candidates achieving the required number of votes of confidence, 41 were from Ha Tinh .

Of which, 7 candidates met the standards for the title of professor, including: Ngo Dang Quang (born in 1964, working at the University of Transport); Tran The Truyen (born in 1978, working at the University of Transport); Nghiem Trung Dung (born in 1963, working at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology); Dinh Tuan Hai (born in 1973, working at the Hanoi University of Architecture); Nguyen Xuan Huy (born in 1977, working at the University of Transport); Nguyen Tien Dung (born in 1975, working at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thai Nguyen University); Kieu Dinh Hung (born in 1963; working at the Hanoi Medical University).

The remaining 34 candidates from Ha Tinh were recognized as meeting the standards for the title of associate professor.

Dr. Tran Quoc Quan is one of the two youngest Associate Professors from Ha Tinh.

In terms of age, the two youngest candidates, both born in 1990 (35 years old), are Tran Quoc Quan (born May 15, 1990, Associate Professor candidate, currently working at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and Nguyen Viet Huong (born April 23, 1990, from Can Loc commune, Ha Tinh province, Associate Professor candidate, currently working at Phenikaa University).

According to the Office of the State Council of Professors, councils at all levels have strictly complied with the regulations of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the resolutions and instructions of the state councils.

The quality of candidates in 2025 is assessed as quite good, demonstrated by significantly improved foreign language proficiency and the number of scientific works published in international journals of ISI, Scopus or other prestigious journals meeting the requirements.

This year, the list of qualified candidates is made public on the websites of higher education institutions and the State Council of Professors. This publicity helps increase transparency, creating conditions for society and the scientific community to participate in criticism and comments.

According to the assessment of Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son - Chairman of the State Council of Professors, the recognition process in 2025 was carried out seriously, fairly, objectively and towards improving quality.
