45 days and nights to handle officials, civil servants, and armed forces violating alcohol concentration

VOV.VN - This morning (September 23), the Traffic Safety Committee, in coordination with the police of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and other functional agencies and localities, launched a 45-day intensive campaign to handle traffic accident violations.
The Traffic Safety Committee stated that this is a task being carried out in accordance with Directive No. 06/2024 of the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on strengthening measures to ensure traffic order and safety and reduce traffic accidents in the province. According to the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, in addition to handling traffic violations by road users, the targets of this crackdown also include officials, civil servants, and members of the armed forces who commit violations or fail to cooperate with law enforcement.
The police force of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will mobilize all its personnel to set up checkpoints and patrol immediately after the launch of the peak enforcement campaign.
During patrols, inspections, and enforcement of traffic laws, authorities must adhere to the principle of "respect for the law," "no forbidden zones, no exceptions," and will not tolerate interference or influence to overlook violations; strict disciplinary action will be taken against officers who fail to thoroughly address or overlook violations.
During the 45-day intensive campaign, violations will be dealt with decisively, with no exceptions and no interference. According to the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police, from August 14th to September 14th, there were 25 road traffic accidents in the province, including 13 serious accidents, resulting in 13 deaths and 18 injuries, a decrease of 11 accidents and 3 deaths compared to the previous month. In September, traffic police in the province recorded over 7,200 traffic safety violations, including over 1,860 drunk driving offenses, and issued administrative fines totaling over 12 billion VND in over 5,470 cases.
