84 contestants shine in "The 3rd Voice of the Disabled - Southern Region"

On the evening of May 26, the People's Committee of Binh Thanh District, the Vietnam Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized the 3rd Singing Contest for the Disabled - Southern region, 2025, with the theme "Singing from the heart".

The contest is organized to contribute to encouraging and motivating people with disabilities to confidently rise up in life, implement the Law on People with Disabilities, and the Program to support people with disabilities for the period 2021 - 2030.

The Southern regional competition was held on the evening of May 26 and the morning of May 27, with the participation of 84 contestants with 21 performances from 7 delegations including provinces and cities: Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan , Ca Mau, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Soc Trang.

This is an opportunity for people with disabilities in provinces and cities to learn, exchange, demonstrate their abilities in cultural and artistic activities, affirm their self-worth and integrate more deeply into all areas of life.

At the contest, the contestants performed solo, ensemble, solo, duet, choir, and dance performances, expressing their confidence and passion for music and the art of singing and dancing, associated with their dreams and aspirations to live, study, practice, overcome difficulties, integrate into the community, and develop with social life.

Through the performances: Little Heart, Compassionate Heart, Things I Don't Know, Confessions of the Blind... contestants of many ages (youngest 12 years old, oldest 61 years old) sent their feelings, thoughts, and love to the Organizing Committee, the Jury and all the audience present at the contest.

In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation with the art program Living like flowers performed magnificently and attractively with singing, dancing and instrumental music performances: Song of hope, Country full of joy, Living like flowers, helping to bring a jubilant, radiant and unique artistic performance atmosphere. The performances had the participation of contestants from Hy Vong - Binh Thanh Special School for the Deaf, Nhat Hong - Thi Nghe Blind Shelter, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Special School and Nhu Nghia Brothers Shelter.

Previously, many provinces and cities actively organized preliminary rounds. The final round of the competition is expected to be held in June 2025 in Hanoi.
