Agribank absorbed over 2.1 million billion VND

The Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) has just announced that its mobilized capital as of June 30th reached over 2.1 trillion VND, an increase of 6.4% compared to the beginning of the year, the highest since 2021.

As of June 30th, Agribank 's mobilized capital reached over 2.1 trillion VND, a 6.4% increase compared to the beginning of the year, the highest since 2021, with individual deposits accounting for a large proportion. Agribank's capital has grown steadily, meeting the borrowing needs for production and business development of its customers. Capital utilization efficiency has improved, ensuring compliance with the safety ratios stipulated by the State Bank of Vietnam. Agribank's outstanding loans to the economy reached over 1.85 trillion VND, a 7.6% increase compared to the beginning of the year, higher than the same period in 2024. Of this, loans to agriculture and rural areas reached over 1.13 trillion VND, accounting for over 61% of the total outstanding loans to the economy.

Over the past period, Agribank has promptly addressed difficulties and increased access to capital for individuals and businesses; reduced costs and lowered lending interest rates to support customers. Agribank also promptly implemented 13 credit programs and products totaling 400,000 billion VND to boost credit growth from the beginning of the year; and expanded the scale and scope of credit programs for the agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors to 20,000 billion VND. Agribank effectively implemented 7 policy credit programs and national target programs on building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction… Agribank's capital has been and is supporting large-scale agricultural production models, high-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, developing raw material areas linked to deep processing, agricultural product value chains, and enhancing the added value and competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products.

Agribank is developing and diversifying its products and services in a modern direction; expanding its agency-based services and linked products and services; promoting the development of services on the electronic banking channel, adding features to the Agribank Plus application, OSB solutions, etc. At the same time, it is focusing resources on innovation and digital transformation in all aspects of its operations; raising employee awareness through training, application of science and technology, and digital transformation.
