At the working session, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Tu, Head of Tho Chau Border Guard Station, reported to the working delegation on the political security situation, social order and safety in the area, coordination in management and protection of sovereignty over seas and islands, and outstanding results in carrying out the task of propagating and mobilizing fishermen to strictly comply with legal regulations on seafood exploitation and fishing, especially regulations related to IUU.

Colonel Tran Ngoc Chau, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command, gave a speech to encourage officers and soldiers of Tho Chau Border Guard Station.

The unit has closely coordinated with functional forces on the island to organize many flexible propaganda models and forms suitable for each target; regularly maintain patrols, control, and strictly manage fishing vessel activities in and out of the sea, resolutely not allowing fishing vessels and fishermen to violate.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of An Giang province, Colonel Tran Ngoc Chau acknowledged and commended the spirit of overcoming difficulties and staying at the forefront of the storm of the officers and soldiers of Tho Chau Border Guard Station. He emphasized that in the coming time, the unit needs to continue to promote its core role in propaganda and dissemination of laws on combating IUU fishing, step up inspection and supervision, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle violations, contributing to the whole country's efforts to remove the "yellow card" of the European Commission (EC), and build a sustainable development of Vietnam's fisheries industry...
