Three NGOs cooperate to support Da Nang with 62.5 billion VND to implement social security

DNO - On the morning of October 22, the Danang City Union of Friendship Organizations signed a memorandum of understanding with three foreign non-governmental organizations to carry out social security work with a total value of nearly 2.5 million USD (equivalent to 62.5 billion VND).

The Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations signed a memorandum of cooperation with three foreign non- governmental organizations (Phase 1), including: Giving It Back To Kids (USA), Children of Vietnam (USA), and Lifestart Foundation (Australia).

During the period 2025-2030, these three organizations are committed to continuing to support programs, projects, and non-project activities for Da Nang city through the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations (the agency responsible for aid and project coordination) with a total value of nearly 2.5 million USD (equivalent to 62.5 billion VND).

Specifically, Giving It Back To Kids is providing $1.06 million (equivalent to VND 27.5 billion) to promote sustainable development and human development; spread humanitarian values ​​through education , enhance life skills, and support community programs.

Children of Vietnam collaborates on programs supporting education, infrastructure, nutrition, and emergency relief. The total estimated funding of US$1 million (approximately VND 26 billion) will directly benefit thousands of disadvantaged children and families in the city.

The Lifestart Foundation provides $343,500 (equivalent to 9 billion VND) through educational and medical scholarship programs, as well as non-project humanitarian support such as clean water filtration systems, bicycles, essential supplies, and blankets for poor and disadvantaged students.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, Tran Thi Man, highly appreciated the role of the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations as a solid bridge, effectively connecting foreign diplomatic and consular agencies, international organizations, individuals, and friends around the world with the city's government and people, supporting the city in its socio-economic development.

The Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City affirmed that Da Nang will create all favorable conditions for organizations to continue effectively implementing programs, projects, and non-project activities in the coming time, thereby making a positive contribution to the city's social welfare work.

According to the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations, from 2021 to the present, the Union has mobilized 30 foreign non-governmental organizations to support the implementation of more than 110 programs, projects, and non-project activities in the fields of health, education, sustainable poverty reduction, disaster risk reduction, environmental protection, and social welfare support, with a total amount of nearly 80 billion VND.
