Attending the conference were the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang; and the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, Ly Kieu Van.

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, praised and acknowledged the achievements of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department in fulfilling its tasks in 2023.
In 2024, with a heavy workload, the committee is requested to make greater efforts and organize activities to successfully complete the assigned tasks. Currently, the drug-related crime situation is complex, and the number of drug users is increasing rapidly. Therefore, with its functions and duties, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee should promptly advise the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Board to direct relevant agencies to effectively carry out drug prevention and control work to ensure peace and security for the people.
Focus on effectively receiving and processing citizens' complaints and denunciations in accordance with legal regulations, while also advising the Provincial Party Committee on effective leadership in the dissemination and popularization of laws.

The report from the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department stated that in 2023, the department actively advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on leading and directing the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative practices, and reforming the judicial system, successfully completing the assigned tasks.
During the period 2021-2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department advised on the resolution of 7 corruption cases, achieving 117% of the planned target. Of these, the department discovered and transferred 1 case to the investigative agency; and other functional agencies discovered and transferred 2 cases with signs of corruption and negative practices to the investigative agency. The department also advised the Party Committee on leadership and direction in effectively handling and resolving 8 complex and prominent cases related to security and order in the province, achieving 267% of the planned target.

Specifically, the department will preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee Office to advise the Provincial Party Secretary on holding regular monthly citizen consultations in accordance with Regulation No. 11 dated February 18, 2019, of the Politburo ; and advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on directing the effective resolution of complex and long-standing petitions and complaints in accordance with regulations.
