To serve the Tet market, Tong Buong rice paper producers have researched and produced a new product, rice paper with vermicelli; the selling price is 25,000 VND/kg. Rice paper with vermicelli supplied to the market this Tet accounts for 30% of the total rice paper output of the village.

According to Mr. Pham Ba Tuyen, Party Secretary and Chairman of Thai Thinh Ward People's Committee, this year, the output of various types of rice paper in Tong Buong reached over 1,800 tons, an increase of 15% compared to last year. In the 2 months before Tet, rice paper output increased by 30% compared to normal days. The price of rice paper in Tong Buong currently fluctuates from 25-26 thousand VND/kg depending on the type, exported to markets in provinces, Hai Phong City, Quang Ninh, Hanoi . Currently, there are 200-250 workers in Tong Buong producing rice paper, with an average income of 7-8 million VND/month per person.
