The storm was as destructive as Typhoon No. 5, and at times the wind gusts were even stronger, causing serious damage. It was a sleepless night for the people of Central Vietnam.

In Ha Tinh province, the storm raged for many hours from the night of September 28 to the early morning of September 29. Coastal areas of Ky Anh, Cam Xuyen, and Nghi Xuan (formerly) recorded significant initial damage, with many houses collapsing, roofs blown off, and power poles falling.

Many households, having just recovered from the damage caused by Typhoon No. 5, are now facing further losses from Typhoon No. 10. In Vinh City and the coastal districts of Cua Lo, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, and Quynh Luu (formerly), fierce winds have toppled numerous trees and power poles, damaging many roads. Hundreds of houses have had their roofs blown off, and many public buildings have been damaged.

In some apartment buildings in Nghe An province, strong winds shattered windows, causing water to flood into the homes.
Some residents in apartment buildings in Nghe An province had their windows shattered by strong winds, causing water to flood into their homes.

In particular, in some apartment buildings in the old Vinh city area, windows were shattered by strong winds, and heavy rainwater poured in, forcing many households to evacuate urgently and damaging property. In Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, thousands of houses had their roofs blown off, thousands of hectares of rice and crops were deeply flooded, and many national and provincial roads were paralyzed due to flooding, landslides, fallen trees and power poles, and widespread power outages.

Some coastal areas suffered severe erosion from the waves, and anchored boats were heavily damaged. Students in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces had to stay home from school for safety reasons.

Authorities warn that in the coming hours, the remnants of Typhoon No. 10 will continue to cause heavy rainfall over a wide area, posing a high risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous regions and deep flooding in low-lying areas. The government and armed forces are working hard to respond.
