Thanh Nien Newspaper awards the writing contest "Saving electricity becomes a habit"

Taking place for nearly 3 months, the writing contest "Saving electricity becomes a habit" received 523 entries from authors from all over the country, which are truly practical and effective electricity saving solutions that have been successfully applied in families, offices and units.

Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, said that the Organizing Committee has chosen to award prizes to 49 authors and groups of authors with excellent articles. The Organizing Committee has selected quality articles to be published in Thanh Nien Daily Newspaper and thanhnien.vn online newspaper. The entries have contributed to spreading awareness of electricity saving among individuals and businesses, suggesting many practical electricity saving solutions, creating a positive impact on electricity usage habits as well as awareness of energy saving and sustainable environmental protection.

In particular, the first prize in the personal writing category belongs to the work "81-year-old woman in Tien Giang with a unique electricity saving initiative" by the group of authors Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Nguyen Quoc Dat (Tien Giang) worth 6 million VND and gifts.

The first prize in the category of writing about organizations and businesses went to the work "Learning from Uncle Ho, border guards are "super" energy-saving" by author Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hoi, Chief of Song Trang Border Guard Station, Long An Provincial Border Guard, worth 10 million VND and gifts.

Second Prize: "Saving electricity needs attention right from the stage of purchasing used equipment", author Nguyen Ha Anh (HCMC); My father's habit of saving electricity has "seeped into his blood", author Trieu Thi Tuyet Nhung ( Phu Tho ).

Third Prize: "A healthy person, the whole family is happy", author Nguyen Huu Nhan (Dong Thap); I have a secret to teaching my children to save electricity through... poetry, author Nguyen Thi Mong Huyen (Tra Vinh); "Secrets" to help farmers save millions of VND in electricity, author Nguyen Thi Hong (Dak Lak).

The organizers also awarded the inspiration prize to author Le Thi Thuy Lieu (86 years old, Thi Nghe Nursing Home, Ho Chi Minh City).
