Lasting for nearly three months, the "Making Electricity Saving a Habit" writing contest received 523 entries from authors across the country, showcasing truly practical and effective electricity-saving solutions that have been successfully implemented in homes, offices, and organizations.
According to journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, the organizing committee selected 49 authors and groups of authors with outstanding articles to receive awards. The committee chose high-quality articles for publication in Thanh Nien daily newspaper and the online newspaper thanhnien.vn. The entries contributed to spreading awareness of electricity saving among individuals and businesses, suggesting many practical solutions for saving electricity, and positively influencing electricity usage habits as well as energy conservation awareness and sustainable environmental protection.

In particular, the first prize in the individual writing category went to the work "81-Year-Old Woman in Tien Giang with a Unique Electricity-Saving Initiative" by authors Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy and Nguyen Quoc Dat (Tien Giang), worth 6 million VND and gifts.
The first prize in the category for writing about organizations and businesses went to the work "Following Uncle Ho's example, border guards are 'super' electricity savers" by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hoi, Commander of Song Trang Border Guard Station, Long An Provincial Border Guard, worth 10 million VND and gifts.
Second prize was awarded to the works "Saving electricity requires attention right from the purchasing stage of appliances," by Nguyen Ha Anh (Ho Chi Minh City); and "My father's habit of saving electricity has become ingrained in his blood," by Trieu Thi Tuyet Nhung ( Phu Tho ).
Third prize winners included: "A Healthy Person, a Happy Family" by Nguyen Huu Nhan (Dong Thap); "I Have a Secret to Teaching Children to Save Electricity Through... Poetry" by Nguyen Thi Mong Huyen (Tra Vinh); and "Secrets" to Helping Farmers Save Millions of Dong on Electricity by Nguyen Thi Hong (Dak Lak).
The organizers also awarded the Inspirational Prize to author Le Thi Thuy Lieu (86 years old, Thi Nghe Nursing Home, Ho Chi Minh City).
