However, on December 13th, a medical record allegedly belonging to Zhou Haimei was shared online and reposted by several news sites. According to the record, the actress was reportedly unconscious and unresponsive before arriving at the hospital. Therefore, despite receiving intensive emergency care, she could not be saved.
On December 14th, QQ reported that the Beijing Health Commission (China) had identified two people who leaked Zhou Haimei's emergency room records and medical history on social media. One person was a medical staff member, and the other was a friend of the late actress.
The medical staff have been suspended from their duties. Two people have been summoned by the police for questioning. According to investigative sources, these individuals shared images of Zhou Haimei's medical records with the intention of showing off to their friends.
According to Chinese law, leaking someone's private information, including the medical records of the deceased, can result in legal action and penalties.
According to QQ, medical staff who violated Zhou Haimei's privacy could face fines of around 10,000-50,000 RMB (33-189 million VND) and a 12-month suspension from work. In serious cases, their medical licenses may be revoked.
The leak of Zhou Haimei's medical records has angered her family. Currently, the actress's family is rushing to make funeral arrangements but has not announced specific details about the funeral plans.
