Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic Hospital has a new Director

(Dan Tri) - The new Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic Trauma Hospital is expected by the Department of Health to bring the unit to breakthrough in many new techniques, especially robotic techniques, to better care for people's health.

The Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital recently held a ceremony to announce and present the appointment decision for its new Director, Dr. Hoang Manh Cuong, effective September 1st.

Speaking at the decision-awarding ceremony, Associate Professor Tang Chi Thuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, congratulated and acknowledged the outstanding achievements and contributions of Dr. Hoang Manh Cuong during his time working at the hospital.

The leaders of the Department of Health believe that with his extensive professional expertise, management experience, and high sense of responsibility, Mr. Cuong will continue to inherit, develop, and build the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital into an even more prosperous institution.

In particular, the hospital is expected to make breakthroughs in many new techniques, especially robotic technology, to better meet the healthcare needs of the people and continue to be the leading institution in orthopedic trauma for all provinces and cities in the South.

Mr. Thuong also expressed his hope that during Dr. Hoang Manh Cuong's five-year term, the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital would be able to build a new facility.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Hoang Manh Cuong thanked the leaders of the Department of Health and expressed his appreciation to Dr. Chau Van Dinh (the former Director who will retire), who has always guided and supported him.

Mr. Cuong affirmed that he will make every effort and leverage the strength of unity to transform the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital into a modern, high-quality, and friendly medical facility, contributing to enhancing the reputation of the healthcare sector.

Dr. Hoang Manh Cuong, born in 1970, is a specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology. He has been working at the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Traumatology Hospital since 1998.

Dr. Hoang Manh Cuong has made numerous professional contributions to the hospital, particularly in the fields of shoulder arthroscopy and upper limb bone fixation methods. He has held the position of Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital since 2015.
