The hospital has a modern, integrated outpatient clinic system with 47 examination rooms and 18 modern operating rooms (including 1 emergency operating room, 3 ophthalmology operating rooms, and 3 day operating rooms) connected to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit with 21 beds, fully equipped with the latest machinery, ensuring smooth and safe surgery and organ transplantation, with strict infection control.
The system of departments, centers, institutes, and modern equipment is scientifically arranged according to zones, creating favorable conditions for patients and meeting the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment, effectively contributing to reducing the burden on the healthcare system of Ho Chi Minh City and the surrounding area. It is expected that, upon commissioning, the 1,000-bed General Hospital will be able to examine 5,000-6,000 patients, treat 1,800-2,000 inpatients per day, and ensure the reception and emergency care of up to 300 patients per day.
Major General, Doctor of Medicine Tran Quoc Viet delivered a speech at the ceremony.
The hospital has a helipad connected to an elevator that takes patients straight to the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Department in the shortest time, ensuring the golden time for emergency care, treatment and resuscitation before transferring to specialized departments.
"With a dual-use purpose (serving both military and national defense tasks while ensuring civilian emergency care), Military Hospital 175 has become the first and only medical facility in Vietnam with two helicopter landing pads, contributing to enhancing emergency response, disaster prevention, and emergency response capabilities, as well as improving the effectiveness of medical care for the community," Major General, Dr. Tran Quoc Viet informed.
According to Major General, Doctor Tran Quoc Viet, the parking garage, with an area of 8,400 m², can accommodate nearly 1,000 motorbikes and 600 cars. On the same day, Military Hospital 175 celebrated its 50th anniversary and received the Ho Chi Minh Order for its exceptionally outstanding achievements in the cause of caring for and protecting the health of soldiers and civilians, participating in United Nations peacekeeping forces, providing emergency medical care on islands and at sea, and preventing and controlling epidemics.
