According to the report of the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune, prolonged heavy rains have caused localized flooding in many areas, causing the vegetable areas of the above households to be completely damaged, with no possibility of recovery. The damaged area ranges from 0.1 ha to 1.3 ha, the estimated damage value is from 70 million VND to 700 million VND per household.
Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam kindly visited the lives and production of each household, sharing the difficulties and property losses that people had to endure due to natural disasters.
He commended the local government and people's proactive spirit in overcoming the consequences; at the same time, sent gifts and encouraged households to soon stabilize their lives and restore production.
Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Government always pay attention to and closely monitor the living conditions of people after natural disasters, determined not to let any household go hungry, not to leave anyone behind. Hiep Thanh Commune needs to urgently review and provide timely support so that people can feel secure in production.

According to preliminary statistics, the rain on October 27 caused more than 200 hectares of crops and vegetables in Hiep Thanh commune to be damaged by 50-100%, with an estimated total loss of about 9 billion VND.
In addition, heavy rain also caused landslides and damaged many traffic works, including 1 underground culvert, 2 cement concrete roads and 1 civil work mixed with crushed stone.
The Commune People's Committee has proposed that the province allocate about 1.3 billion VND in capital to repair and prevent landslides and flooding at four key locations.

At Dinh An Kindergarten, floodwaters rose 40-60 cm, inundating the schoolyard and warehouse, and sweeping away many teaching equipment and toys. The commune has proposed nearly 1.4 billion VND in support to raise the foundation, repair the fence, garage and drainage system.
The visit and encouragement of Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam and the provincial leaders demonstrated the deep concern of the Party Committee and government for the lives of people in disaster-stricken areas, thereby adding confidence, determination and conditions for people to overcome difficulties, restore production and stabilize their lives.
Hiep Thanh commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes Hiep Thanh, Hiep An and Lien Hiep. The commune currently has 18 villages, an area of 127.2 km², a population of more than 51,000 people; of which, ethnic minorities account for nearly 19%.
The commune has great potential for developing trade - services, small-scale industry and agriculture , with key traffic routes passing through such as National Highway 20, Provincial Road 27 and Lien Khuong - Da Lat Expressway.
