Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

On the afternoon of November 10, the Hanoi Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

According to the decision of the Politburo announced by Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, ceased to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; was transferred and appointed to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the City Party Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Next, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc presented the decision to Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung.

Previously, at the 14th Conference, the Party Central Committee elected Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to join the Central Inspection Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung was born in 1974, hometown Thanh Hoa province; professional qualifications: Master of Political Economy, Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of English; Political theory level: Advanced.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung worked for many years at the Ministry of Planning and Investment, holding the position of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment; in March 2020, he worked in Nghe An province, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; in November 2024, he was elected Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

At the conference, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc presented flowers to congratulate two city leaders who were assigned by the Central Government to take up new positions at central agencies: Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee; Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet, former member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, former Commander of the Capital Command, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of National Defense.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh expressed his deep feelings and sincere thanks to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Party Executive Committee, key officials of the city and all officials, party members and people of the Capital .

At the conference, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc handed over retirement and early retirement decisions to two members of the Standing Committee of the 17th Party Committee: Former Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City Nguyen Lan Huong, former Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Inspection Committee Hoang Trong Quyet.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc said that Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, was assigned by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; at the same time, he was introduced to the City People's Council to elect him as Chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

According to the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung has been well-trained and has held many positions at the central and local levels; is a capable and experienced cadre in state management and Party building, has innovative thinking, scientific working methods, is determined, close to the grassroots, dares to think, dares to do, dares to take responsibility; always completes assigned tasks well, making important contributions to the overall achievements and results of the locality, agency and unit.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested comrades in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, leaders at all levels and sectors in the whole city to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, unity, support and companionship so that Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung can successfully complete the assigned tasks.
