Today (March 22), the Minister of Education and Training issued a decision recognizing the Chairman of the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education for the term 2020-2025.
According to the decision, Dr. Truong Thi Hien, Party Secretary and Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, is recognized as the Chairperson of the University Council for the 2020-2025 term.

The decision takes effect from the date of signing (March 21), based on the Resolution of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training on personnel work of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education; and at the request of the Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel and the proposal of the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education in Submission No. 85/TTr-HĐT dated October 31, 2023.
Previously, on October 14th, the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education passed a resolution on leadership personnel matters, unanimously electing Dr. Truong Thi Hien, Party Secretary and Vice Rector, to the position of Chairperson of the University Council for the 2020-2025 term.
On December 21, 2023, the University Council continued to elect two additional members. Thus, to date, the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education for the 2020-2025 term has a full composition and structure as prescribed.
Ms. Truong Thi Hien, born in 1979, previously served as Head of the Planning and Finance Department. In 2015, she was appointed Vice Principal, becoming the first and youngest female Vice Principal of the school in its 62-year history. Her official appointment as Chairperson of the School Board is a crucial next step in the gradual consolidation of the school's leadership positions.
