Individuals, associations, people's organizations, and non -governmental organizations in Vietnam are guaranteed to operate normally in accordance with regulations, while complying with and being accountable under the law for their actions. This was affirmed by Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Duc Thang at the regular press conference held on the afternoon of June 1st in Hanoi.

At the regular press briefing, in response to a reporter's question about Ms. Hoang Thi Minh Hong, who was detained by the Ho Chi Minh City Police along with her husband and two employees on charges of tax evasion, Deputy Spokesperson Nguyen Duc Thang stated that Vietnam has always strongly affirmed its commitment to environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and green and sustainable development. This has been clearly stated in many legal documents, policies, and guidelines of Vietnam.

Currently, the Vietnamese government is implementing many comprehensive measures in the field of energy transition and shifting the growth model towards green and circular economies. In Vietnam, hundreds of social organizations and non-governmental organizations are increasingly diversifying their activities in the field of environmental protection and climate change adaptation.

"In Vietnam, individuals, associations, people's organizations, and non-governmental organizations are guaranteed to operate normally in accordance with regulations, while complying with and being accountable under the law for their actions. As in other countries around the world , those who violate the law will be dealt with according to the provisions of the law," Deputy Spokesperson Nguyen Duc Thang stated.
