Today, 160 athletes from many key teams such as Athletics, Swimming, Archery... will be present in Thailand to prepare for the Games. Up to now, according to records, the athletes are all determined to bring back good results. The teams that have entered the competition have all tried their best to achieve good results in the past few days.

"The Vietnamese Sports Delegation has also promptly made recommendations to the organizing committee about some difficulties and problems and worked with the teams to overcome the difficulties and create the best conditions for the athletes. The delegation will strive to achieve the highest results as promised to the Prime Minister and Minister before departure" - Head of the delegation Nguyen Hong Minh reported.
Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Vietnam Sports Department Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet said that the Vietnamese Sports Delegation has been thoroughly prepared in terms of expertise, spirit, will, psychology, training equipment, etc.
Despite unforeseen problems and deviations from the plan, the Vietnam Sports Department directed the delegation to overcome them and ensured regular and timely communication to address difficulties.

At the meeting, Minister Nguyen Van Hung asked the athletes about issues of food, accommodation, nutrition, transportation... and listened to the feedback from the team leaders, especially about the shortcomings that need to be overcome.
The Minister requested the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to quickly resolve difficulties and obstacles during the entire delegation's competition in Thailand, and continue to coordinate well with the host country's organizing committee to take the best care of the athletes.
Conveying the best wishes of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the entire delegation, the Minister said that with the authorization of the Prime Minister, the Minister had gone to Thailand since December 8 to attend the SEA Games Opening Ceremony, and emphasized that the meeting, although small in scope, had great significance, in addition to showing the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the Vietnamese Sports Delegation.

"Sports are not only about improving health and improving performance, but also a bridge to spread messages about Vietnam to international friends, contributing to promoting culture, tourism, and boosting the overall development of the country's economy. Every athlete should be a cultural ambassador.
Emphasizing that sports achievements must go from low to high, through regional competitions before approaching continental and world competitions, the Minister hopes that the Vietnamese Sports Delegation must be determined to compete for victory, not only to improve achievements but also to represent the flag and colors of the Fatherland.
