The competition involved 5 teams with 45 officers and soldiers from the naval units under the command of the entire Coast Guard Region 3 Command. Participants competed in 5 events: a theoretical test on basic maritime operations and practical tests in maneuvering and rope connection; throwing a pilot line and mooring a ship; deploying and collecting water cannons; and rowing a boat. At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded first prize to Squadron 33, second prize to Squadron 301, and third prize to Squadron 322 and the naval units under Naval Group 32.
The teams are practicing the rowing part of the competition.
In his closing remarks at the sports competition, Colonel Nguyen Minh Khanh, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, commended and congratulated the units that achieved high results in the competition.
Leaders of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command presented awards to teams and individuals who achieved good results in the sports competition.
To successfully accomplish the tasks in the coming period, the Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff requested that agencies and units continue to promote and improve the quality and effectiveness of training, practice, and skills for officers and soldiers in basic maritime operations in the ship and boat sector; strictly maintain the training regime and work schedule; proactively develop supplementary training plans to address any shortcomings or weaknesses after the competition; overcome difficulties, propose specific directions and measures for each training content, and implement training for officers and soldiers in the ship and boat sector, ensuring that after training, all officers and soldiers are proficient in the operational skills and can effectively handle situations as required by the mission.
