In a document sent to hospitals under the Ministry of Health and the Departments of Health of provinces and centrally run cities regarding ensuring medical examination and treatment, and traffic accident emergency care during the April 30 and May 1 holidays in 2024, the Ministry of Health requested hospitals to organize emergency care and treatment well, ensuring that all emergency patients are examined and treated.

The Ministry also requested that units not refuse or delay handling emergency cases during the holidays. "If the case is not in the right line or specialized department, it is necessary to provide initial emergency treatment to stabilize the patient and the patient's family, and fully explain to them before transferring them to another medical facility," the Ministry of Health stated.

Units must ensure food safety and hygiene, prevent food poisoning, drowning, and stampede accidents at places with high tourist concentrations.

The Ministry of Health also requires ensuring a 24/7 hotline to be ready to direct, coordinate, support, and respond when necessary.

In case of special developments such as disaster emergency, mass accidents, food poisoning and other special cases, the unit is requested to urgently report to the direct management agency via hotline, and promptly report in writing about the special developments for timely resolution.
