All 6 students of the Vietnamese team participating in the 2023 Asia- Pacific Informatics Olympiad won medals, including 4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
On May 30, according to information from the Department of Quality Management ( Ministry of Education and Training ), all 6 students of the Vietnamese team participating in the 2023 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad won medals, including 4 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals.
Specifically as follows:
1. Nguyen Duc Thang, 11th grade student, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Phu Tho : Silver Medal;
2. Nguyen Ngoc Dang Khoa, 12th grade student, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi: Silver Medal;
3. Pham Cong Minh, 11th grade student, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi: Silver Medal;
4. Tran Xuan Bach, 12th grade student, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi: Silver Medal;
5. Le Ngoc Bao Anh, 12th grade student, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang: Bronze Medal;
6. Tran Vinh Khanh, 12th grade student, Quang Tri Town High School, Quang Tri Province: Bronze Medal.
The 2023 Asia-Pacific Olympiad in Informatics will be held online with 1,471 contestants from 36 countries and territories participating (including 3 countries: Canada, Mexico, Brazil, which were invited to participate but were not considered for awards); China is the host country. The Vietnamese national team, consisting of 15 contestants, will compete online at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi on May 20, 2023. According to the regulations of the Organizing Committee of the Asia-Pacific Olympiad in Informatics, Vietnam will select 6 contestants with the highest scores to participate in the awards.
At the 2023 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad, 95 contestants won prizes. The Vietnamese delegation had 06 contestants participating in the ranking, all of whom won medals, accounting for 100% (04 Silver Medals and 02 Bronze Medals); according to the medal ranking, Vietnam ranked 9th.
