Northern region

The price of live pigs today (December 17, 2024) in the Northern region recorded an increase after 2 days of price stability. Accordingly, the price of live pigs in the provinces of Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh all increased. Yen Bai and Nam Dinh increased the highest in the country with 2,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Thai Binh had the highest price in the region with 66,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in this area is fluctuating from 64,000 - 66,000 VND/kg. Lao Cai and Ninh Binh have the lowest transaction price in the region at 64,000 VND/kg, most of the northern provinces and cities buy and sell live pigs at 65,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region

Similarly, the price of live pigs today (December 17, 2024) in the Central Highlands region fluctuated in provinces and cities such as Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan. Of which, Dak Lak had the highest price increase in the region with 2,000 VND/kg.

Currently, traders in the Central region are purchasing live pigs at around 62,000 - 65,000 VND/kg. Thanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces all have the highest price in the region at 65,000 VND/kg. On the other hand, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue and Khanh Hoa provinces have the lowest price of live pigs in the region at 62,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

Pig prices in the Southern region today (December 17, 2024) recorded price adjustments in the provinces and cities of Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and Soc Trang.

Of which, Dong Nai and Ba Ria – Vung Tau both increased by 2,000 VND/kg and reached 66,000 VND/kg. This is the highest price of live pigs in the region and the whole country.

Currently, traders in the South are purchasing live pigs at prices ranging from 62,000 - 66,000 VND/kg. Of which, Tien Giang has the lowest live pig price in the region, at 62,000 VND/kg. Provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Can Tho, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong... have common prices of 63,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

In general, the price of live pigs today recorded a simultaneous increase of 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg in provinces and cities across the country and established a new price list in some provinces and cities when reaching 66,000 VND/kg. The price of live pigs nationwide is being sold in the range of 62,000 - 66,000 VND/kg.
