At the end of the trading session last night and early this morning, December 3 (Vietnam time), Robusta coffee prices on the London - UK exchange continued to decrease by 2.7% - 2.8%; Arabica coffee prices on the New York - US exchange also lost 1.64% - 1.87%.
At the reference term, the price of Robusta for delivery in January 2026 fell to 121 USD/ton, to 4,351 USD/ton; the price of Arabica for delivery in March 2026 fell more sharply, to 140 USD/ton, to 8,230 USD/ton.
With this downward trend, domestic coffee prices are expected to continue to decrease today after having experienced a decline in the first two sessions of the week, with a total decrease of up to 5,400 VND/kg, averaging 106,900 VND/kg before the London exchange opened. Of which, the lowest price in Lam Dong was only 106,500 VND/kg.
Domestic coffee prices fell further on the floor under pressure from a rush of harvests and abundant supplies. After two high coffee crop seasons, with good financial conditions, farmers were able to hold onto their stocks and not sell them in large quantities in both Vietnam and Brazil.
Thanks to that, regardless of the harvest, Robusta coffee prices will remain above 4,000 USD/ton, domestic prices will not be below 80,000 VND/kg. In the previous crop, the lowest domestic coffee price was below 90,000 VND/kg, the lowest floor price was around 3,700 USD/ton.
