Cam Xuyen District ( Ha Tinh Province) has mobilized forces to assist households in Phuong Tru village, Cam Due commune, in reinforcing and repairing serious landslides along the Ngan Mo River.
On the afternoon of October 31st, Cam Xuyen district mobilized military and militia forces to coordinate with local authorities to assist households in reinforcing seriously eroded areas along the Ngan Mo River, specifically the section passing through Phuong Tru village, in order to ensure immediate safety for the people.
The People's Committee of Cam Xuyen district has provided Cam Due commune with 70 gabion baskets and deployed 40 soldiers from the District Military Command to assist in addressing the landslide in Phuong Tru village. In addition, the Cam Due commune government has mobilized machinery and over 100 local workers to participate in the landslide remediation efforts.
The forces have transported 100 gabions, 200 cubic meters of rubble, and 500 bamboo stakes to temporarily repair landslide-prone areas with high risk of collapse. The repair work will be completed this afternoon.
Previously, due to heavy rains lasting for several days, landslides occurred along the banks of the Ngan Mo River in Cam Due commune (Cam Xuyen district), threatening the houses and property of local residents. According to local assessments, the entire Cam Due commune currently has 14 landslide points along the Ngan Mo River, including 4 seriously affected locations with a total length of approximately 150m, directly impacting 12 households in the area. |
