When coming to Vung Tau, visitors not only get to immerse themselves in the clear blue sea water but also have the opportunity to explore historical sites.
According to history books, the cannons here were considered the largest cannons in Indochina at that time. In 1895, after occupying the South, the French colonialists built a coastal defense system in Vung Tau with 23 cannons spread across the mountains, including Nui Lon. Arranged in an arc shape, the cannons on the slopes of Nui Lon each weighed up to 15 tons, and remain intact to this day.
