Ministry of National Defense hands over land to Vung Tau ward to build a square

On October 24, the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward (HCMC) held a ceremony to award the Certificate of Land Use Rights and receive land handover from the Ministry of National Defense.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Thanh Sang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward, presented Land Use Right Certificate No. AA01526578 dated October 15, 2025, to the 18th Army Corps, Ministry of National Defense, for plot number 94, map sheet 164, with an area of ​​6,000 of national defense land. The certificate is for long-term use.

It is known that the 6,000 square meters of land handed over to the Ministry of National Defense is located at 89 Le Loi Street (Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), which was the former headquarters of the Border Guard Command of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

Also at the ceremony, the 18th Army Corps, Ministry of National Defense, handed over 7,523m² at 165A Thuy Van Street to the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward for the implementation of the Thuy Van Square Expansion Project.

The project has a total investment of nearly 95 billion VND, including a new square covering more than 52,000 m², a 16m wide surrounding road, a green space system, lighting, parking lots, and rest stops.

Speaking at the ceremony, a representative from the 18th Army Corps, Ministry of National Defense, requested that the local authorities use the land for its intended purpose and prevent disputes and encroachments.
