Shafaq News, citing a statement from the Iraqi Islamic Resistance Movement, which includes Shiite Muslim armed groups, reported that its forces attacked a US military base in Syria on October 29th using two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

According to the sources, the drone attacks reportedly targeted the Ash Shaddadi base in Hasakah province, northern Syria. However, the armed group's statement did not provide information on casualties or damage.
Earlier, on October 27, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder confirmed that US and coalition forces had been attacked at least 14 times in Iraq and 6 times in Syria by both drones and rockets since October 17.
According to Syrian media, powerful explosions rocked the Koniko natural gas field, home to a key US military base, in the eastern Syrian province of Deir al-Zour on Thursday evening, October 26.
Another explosion was also reported in the Thiban area of rural Deir al-Zour in Syria, where US forces are also stationed.
Also on the 27th and 28th, a US base in the Shaddadi area in the rural Hasakah province of northeastern Syria experienced at least two explosions. Meanwhile, according to the Pentagon, the US military intercepted a drone attack attempt on a US air base in Erbil, Iraq.
In a related development, on October 28, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian declared that new fronts would be created against the United States if it continued to support Israel. Iran is a predominantly Shiite Muslim country with many forces believed to be opposed to Israel and the United States.
