
Nam A Bank has just informed its customers about the need to update complete information when opening and using payment accounts to avoid payment disruptions, in accordance with the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam before January 1, 2026.
Individual customers who are Vietnamese citizens or of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined must update information regarding occupation, personal identification number, registered permanent address, etc. Identification documents for individual customers with Vietnamese nationality must be a Citizen Identification Card (CCCD), Citizen Identification Card, or Electronic Citizen Identification Card, or a birth certificate for those under 14 years old who do not yet have a Citizen Identification Card.
Foreign individuals also need to update their information fully, including passport number or identification information issued by a competent foreign authority; entry visa number or visa-instead document number (for foreigners residing in Vietnam)...
Techcombank also announced that from January 1, 2026, certain identification documents will no longer be accepted for transaction verification. Customers need to update their chip-based citizen identification cards at Techcombank branches to ensure uninterrupted service.
