On October 27, according to the reporter of Tin Tuc and Dan Toc Newspaper, engineers operated a central computer control system on the bridge surface, connected via a hydraulic pipe system and signal wires, helping to precisely coordinate the height of each jacking column with an error of less than 1mm.

During the lifting process, motorbikes are allowed to circulate normally, while cars are redirected to Binh Phuoc 2 bridge. Currently, the construction site has about 100 engineers and workers working continuously to ensure progress and safety.

The project to raise the clearance of Binh Phuoc 1 bridge is invested by the Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center ( Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction), aiming to meet navigation requirements and ensure the planning of inland waterway routes on the Saigon River. The project has a total investment of nearly 111 billion VND, expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

According to the design, the entire bridge structure, 480m long and 11m wider, will be raised by 1.25m compared to its current state, achieving a clearance of 7m according to waterway standards. The bridge lifting will be performed using a synchronous hydraulic jacking system, controlling the deviation to less than 1mm to ensure absolute accuracy and safety. At the same time, bored piles will be added to the bridge foundation and abutments to increase load-bearing capacity.

Binh Phuoc 1 Bridge was put into operation in 2003, connecting An Phu Dong ward with Hiep Binh Phuoc ward (Ho Chi Minh City). The upgrading of the project not only helps improve waterway traffic connections on the Saigon River but also contributes to reducing pressure on the road route through this area.
