According to the reporter of Tin Tuc and Dan Toc Newspaper, although working groups and volunteers regularly organize nail extraction and metal collection on the route, the situation of spreading nails still recurs. Some motorbikes have run over nails, causing tire explosions, loss of control, and potential risk of serious accidents.

Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police have also increased patrols and controls along the entire National Highway 1K and My Phuoc - Tan Van, coordinating with the police of wards along the route to propagate and require tire repair and patching establishments to sign a commitment not to perform or assist in spreading nails. Many groups of people and volunteer organizations also participate in periodic "nail extraction" to ensure traffic safety.

However, recently, there have been some people deliberately spreading nails, regardless of the danger to others, causing public outrage. Authorities warn people traveling through this area to be extremely vigilant, stay on the right side of the road and observe the road surface carefully to avoid accidents.

The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that when discovering an area with nails or suspicious sharp objects, it is necessary to immediately report to the nearest police, traffic police or local authorities. If people record images or information about the nail-spreading subject, they need to provide it to the police for strict handling according to regulations.

In addition, encourage volunteer groups and communities to continue to coordinate with authorities in nail removal work, ensuring safety for road users.
