Retired Russian Army Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, a military expert, doubts that the Special Military Operations (SVO) campaign will end in 2024.

Earlier, the Deputy Head of the Main Political-Military Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense , Major General Apti Alaudinov, expressed confidence that the SVO could conclude in 2024 with a Russian victory.

“You know, in terms of timing, obviously I wouldn’t be that excited, because there are so many factors influencing this, including economic , social, and most importantly, military factors. Ukraine is receiving support from the West. This is prolonging the conflict. However, I am 100% confident that victory will belong to Russia,” expert Anatoly Matviychuk assessed.

In June 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that the US only needed to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine, and the conflict would end in two to three months. He added that this message had been conveyed to his American counterpart, Joe Biden, at the White House beforehand.

Regarding this issue, the President of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, predicted the completion date of the SVO. He believes the SVO could be finished by June or July 2024. The Chechen leader also emphasized that if he made the decision himself, the conflict would end within three months.

Former Ukrainian official outlines scenario of dividing the country.

Former advisor to the Ukrainian President's Office, Alexey Arestovich, revealed the West's plans for Ukraine on his personal Telegram channel.

According to him, if the Russian army continues to win and expand its control, Western countries will send troops and deploy them along the Dnieper River. This plan is similar to the scenario of a divided country a century ago.

“In this scenario, we will lose the right bank of the Dnieper River. Ukraine experienced this scenario a hundred years ago,” Alexey Arestovich wrote, explaining that at that time Ukraine, with its misguided policies, lost control of many territories.

The former advisor to the Ukrainian President's Office emphasized that such trends are constantly being put forward by Western partners and there is no indication that they will change them if the conflict continues to escalate.

Earlier, in an interview with the YouTube channel “Caution: Sobchak,” Alexey Arestovich expressed the view that Russian President Vladimir Putin's strategy toward Ukraine “has every chance of success” and urged Kyiv to think about it.

Kharkiv is ablaze, Russia advances further in Kupyansk.

According to Military Summary, the US Secretary of Defense had a phone call with the Russian Minister of Defense, initiated by the US side. However, the content of the conversation between the two sides is unclear.

According to Siversk, there have been reports that Russian combat units have entered the village of Razdolivka, but further information from the front lines is needed to confirm this event.

In the Kupyansk region, Russian troops launched a fierce attack on the village of Petropavlivka, expanding their control by an additional 1.5 km. Most importantly, after months of fighting, Russian forces are gradually gaining complete control of the village of Sinkovka, a crucial defensive position that helps Ukraine control and protect the city of Kupyansk from the north.

In this line of attack, the Russian army continued to encircle Stelmakhovka. To facilitate the main assault, Russian units raided the village of Hook, located east of Sinkovka.

Over the past few days, Russian forces have attacked Ukrainian armed forces facilities in Kharkiv, Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, Odessa, and Nikolayev. Conversely, Kyiv forces have continued shelling the Russian border region and attempted to attack military targets in the Smolensk region with suicide drones.

Many areas in Ukrainian territory were targeted by airstrikes.

Ukrainian television channel “Public” reported that explosions occurred in various areas of Ukraine on the evening of June 27.

On the morning of June 27, local residents reported explosions in Poltava. An air raid alert was issued for the Poltava region and 12 other areas. Detailed information was continuously updated on the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation.

In the Khmelnitsky region, at least five explosions occurred. Explosions were also heard in Kyiv. Air raid warnings were issued for the Chernivtsi, Khmelnytsky, and Zhytomyr regions.

Explosions were also reported in Kherson and the city of Kharkov. “A series of explosions were heard in Kharkov. Possibly outside the city,” the Public reported.

The Ukrainian Air Force also reported glide bombing raids by Russian tactical aircraft targeting frontline positions. A drone strike alert was put in effect in the Kherson region.

On the afternoon of June 26, the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, announced a series of explosions in the city, but did not specify the locations. At the time of the explosions, no air defense warnings had been issued in the area.
