According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, on the evening of November 1 (local time), President Luong Cuong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Busan city, successfully concluding their working trip to attend the 32nd Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week in Gyeongju city and bilateral work in the Republic of Korea at the invitation of President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung from October 29 to November 1.
Seeing off the delegation at Busan airport on the Korean side were Director of the Diplomatic Academy Choi Hyung Chan and leaders of Busan city.
On the Vietnamese side, there were Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho, Vietnamese Consul General in Busan Doan Phuong Lan and staff of the Embassy and Consulate General of Vietnam in Korea.
Within the framework of the APEC Summit Week, President Luong Cuong had a series of meetings with leaders of APEC economies , including US President Donald Trump, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, and met with leaders of the world's leading corporations and businesses.
In particular, President Luong Cuong attended, had dialogues and delivered important speeches at the APEC Summit sessions, as well as the APEC Business Summit 2025.
During the activities within the framework of APEC, President Luong Cuong made many strategic and breakthrough proposals to promote cooperation, further promote the role and position of APEC in international economic cooperation and connectivity, and respond to challenges facing the international community in general and the Asia-Pacific region in particular.
President Luong Cuong also conveyed a strong message about Vietnam's potential, advantages, decisions and strategic breakthroughs, thereby helping international friends have a more comprehensive view of Vietnam's development orientations and continue to accompany, support and stand side by side with Vietnam in the new era, especially mobilizing financial and technological resources... to serve the goal of transforming the growth model, promoting innovation, green transformation and digital transformation.
President Luong Cuong's attendance at meetings and meetings with leaders of economies and businesses is an important step in implementing the foreign policy and major policies and decisions of the Party and State, continuing to make a shift in thinking and new approaches to international integration, from "receiving" thinking to "contributing" thinking, from integration to deep and comprehensive integration, from the position of a lagging economy to an emerging economy, a pioneer in many new fields; at the same time, thereby contributing to deepening bilateral relations with partners, mobilizing resources to serve the country's socio-economic development goals.
Within the framework of bilateral activities in the Republic of Korea, President Luong Cuong had important talks with President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea, in which the two sides agreed to coordinate to effectively implement existing cooperation mechanisms and promote the substantive implementation of signed cooperation documents between the two countries; committed to promoting mutually beneficial economic cooperation, in line with the development goals of both sides, creating a major and substantive shift in cooperation.
President Luong Cuong also had meetings with Busan city leaders; met with officials and staff of Vietnamese representative agencies and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Korea and attended "Vietnam Day" jointly organized by Gyeongsangbuk province, the Korean New Rural Development Fund and the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea...
President Luong Cuong's working trip was a great success in both multilateral and bilateral aspects, leaving a good impression on Vietnam's role, position, and positive and substantial contributions in resolving economic, trade, and regional development cooperation issues as well as promoting Vietnam's relations with the Republic of Korea and Vietnam's relations with APEC economies./.
