Accompanying the President was General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member and Minister of National Defense.
Inspecting the combat readiness training at the training ground,the President and delegates witnessed soldiers demonstrating combat skills with contents such as martial arts, combat techniques, combined destruction... with brave and skillful movements; along with fast and accurate shooting exercises. Through the performances, they showed the bravery, determination, combat training discipline and the process of striving, training persistently and resiliently of the special reconnaissance soldiers of the National Defense Intelligence.
Appreciating the quality of training and combat readiness of Brigade K3, the President presented gifts, commended and encouraged the officers, staff and soldiers of the unit; especially the female special forces scouts who have gone through the process of overcoming many difficulties and hardships, striving to complete the training requirements to keep up with the achievements of their male teammates.
President Vo Van Thuong affirmed: After more than 27 years of building, fighting and growing, Brigade K3 has always been an elite and loyal fighting force of the National Defense Intelligence, achieving many outstanding achievements, deserving to be the honored unit to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in the renovation period by the Party and State.
The officers, staff and soldiers of the Brigade always strive to overcome difficulties and hardships, excellently complete all assigned tasks, achieve many achievements in carrying out political tasks, contribute to building the Army, consolidating national defense, protecting the Party, the regime, protecting the Fatherland and building a strong National Defense Intelligence; build the tradition of "Loyalty - Trust - Good fighting - Determined to win".
The President also acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the achievements and developments in all aspects of the Brigade in recent years, especially in training and combat readiness, deserving to be one of the main action units in the combat formation of the National Defense Intelligence.
The President directed: The unit continues to promote the heroic tradition of the National Defense Intelligence and the Brigade; taking building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit as the central task; building a clean, strong, typical Party organization as the key task; always maintaining the ideological position, building cadres, employees, and soldiers with steadfast, firm political will, absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people, proactively overcoming difficulties, having high determination, ready to receive and successfully complete tasks in all situations. Along with that, further improving training, combat readiness, training troops with truly elite technical, tactical, professional expertise, good combat skills, good action skills, independent combat ability, and high combat strength.
The President believes that the officers, staff and soldiers of the Brigade will continue to contribute, together with the entire Defense Intelligence sector, to serve more effectively and efficiently the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation; continue to be worthy of being a particularly trustworthy and absolutely loyal force of the Party, State, Army and people.
