Specifically, Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange for January 2026 delivery edged up slightly by $10 (equivalent to 0.24%), reaching $4,228 per ton. The March 2026 contract increased by only $17 (or 0.42%), reaching $4,109 per ton.

Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, the price of Arabica for December 2025 delivery fell further by 1.85 cents (equivalent to 0.46%), to 394.20 cents/lb. The March 2026 contract, however, rose by 2.55 cents (or 0.7%), reaching 368.75 cents/lb.

According to LSEG's Weather Research department, cool and humid conditions are forecast to cover Brazil's major arabica-growing regions for the next few weeks, creating favorable conditions for the crop's development.

However, the export market is still under pressure as Cecafe data shows that the amount of green coffee beans exported in November decreased sharply by 27.1% compared to the same period last year, reaching only 3.28 million bags. Of which, Arabica exports decreased by 18.3% to 3.03 million bags, while Robusta decreased by 68%, down to about 259,000 bags due to weak demand and the impact of US tariffs.

Cecafe expects the situation to improve in December, after the US administration under President Donald Trump lifted the additional 40% tariffs imposed on many Brazilian products from August, amid escalating trade tensions between Washington and Brasilia related to the prosecution of former President Jair Bolsonaro. This decision will help reopen the flow of goods such as coffee, beef, cocoa and fruit into the US market.

Cecafe President Marcio Ferreira said coffee trade between the two countries has shown signs of recovery since the removal of increased tariffs on arabica, robusta, roasted and ground coffee, meaning exports are likely to pick up from December. However, instant coffee – which accounts for about 10% of Brazilian coffee exports to the US – is still subject to a total tariff of 50%, and the association is continuing to lobby to have it removed from the tariff list.
