As a result, prolonged heavy rain caused landslides on the embankment at alley 108 Hung Vuong street, flooding one house, collapsing a temporary house, and killing two people.

After receiving the information, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Lam Dong Provincial Police mobilized forces and vehicles to quickly approach the scene to carry out rescue work.

Other forces of the Military Command and Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat were also present at the scene to coordinate rescue work, and deal with the consequences caused by rain and landslides.

Present at the scene, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directly directed the forces of the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, and Ward People's Committee to deploy rescue work.
At the same time, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also visited and encouraged relatives of the victims of the landslide.

After finding the victim's body, the authorities carried out the necessary procedures according to regulations.
According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, on August 12, the rainfall measured in Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat was 70 mm, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat was 62 mm; Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat was 52.2 mm. Soil moisture models show that some areas in Lam Dong province are nearly saturated (over 85%) or have reached a saturated state.
