Careful preparation for the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025 and the event "Hello Ca Mau"

On the morning of October 27, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Lam Van Bi, Huynh Chi Nguyen, Le Van Su, Ngo Vu Thang co-chaired a meeting to review the progress of preparations for the organization of the Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025 and the event "Hello Ca Mau".

The meeting was connected online with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , with the participation of Chairman of the Vietnam Fisheries Association Nguyen Viet Thang.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing agency of the Organizing Committee, up to this point, preparations for the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025 and the event "Hello Ca Mau" are being urgently deployed, on schedule.

The Ca Mau Crab Festival - The 2nd time in 2025 with the theme "Ca Mau Crab: Forest scent - Sea taste", is expected to take place from November 16 - 22 in communes and wards in the province, with many cultural, commercial, tourism, sports activities and international seminars.

The event “Hello Ca Mau” with the theme “Unleashing potential - Creating the future” will take place from November 13-15 in Ho Chi Minh City with the following contents: Conference on promoting investment, trade, tourism and space for displaying and promoting products, cuisine, and tourism of Ca Mau.

The above activities are an important opportunity to promote the culture, cuisine and brand of Ca Mau crab; at the same time, promote investment cooperation, connect businesses, introduce the economic and tourism potential and strengths of the province, contributing to building the image of a dynamic, friendly and sustainably developing Ca Mau.

At the meeting, the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee requested the units to continue reviewing and adjusting the scale of activities to suit the actual conditions, making good use of existing facilities, enhancing socialization and publicity and transparency in fundraising; at the same time, focusing on diverse communications, honoring crab farmers, promoting OCOP products and local specialties.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fisheries Association Nguyen Viet Thang said that the organization needs to be calculated in harmony between scale and efficiency, both suitable to actual conditions and ensuring the main goal of promoting the Ca Mau seafood brand, especially the two strong products of shrimp and crab; at the same time, he affirmed that the Vietnam Fisheries Association will accompany and closely coordinate with Ca Mau province to successfully organize the Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025 and the event "Hello Ca Mau".

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu requested members of the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee and relevant units to focus maximum resources, coordinate closely, complete preparations, and ensure that the Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025 and the "Hello Ca Mau" event take place safely, effectively, economically, and imbued with the identity of Ca Mau land.
