Carefully prepare the groundbreaking ceremony for boarding schools in border communes

On the afternoon of October 29, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to reports on preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony for school construction in Son Kim 1 commune and Huong Khe commune.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha chaired the meeting.

Implementing the Central Government's policy on investing in building schools in border communes, Ha Tinh province plans to renovate and build 7 primary and secondary boarding schools in the period of 2025 - 2027. The land border communes with invested schools include: Son Kim 1, Son Kim 2, Son Hong, Vu Quang, Huong Xuan, Huong Khe and Huong Binh.

Based on the survey and proposals of localities, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh has coordinated with relevant departments and branches to review, synthesize, and advise the Provincial People's Committee to select two schools in Son Kim 1 commune and Huong Khe commune that are qualified to implement in 2025, submit to the Ministry of Education and Training for consideration, and report to the Government for approval.

The groundbreaking ceremony for school construction in border communes is expected to take place on November 2, 2025.

Currently, localities are reviewing and preliminarily calculating the total investment based on the scale of schools, number of students, construction site and actual conditions, ensuring efficiency, savings and conformity with the central capital allocated after the Government approved the investment policy for the first phase of the inter-level boarding school in border communes.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Bao - representative of the Provincial Civil and Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board presented contents related to the groundbreaking ceremony at the two bridges Son Kim 1 and Huong Khe.

At the meeting, delegates listened to the representative of the Provincial Civil and Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board present a general report on the preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony of the school in Son Kim 1 commune and Huong Khe commune. The contents related to welcoming delegates, stabilizing the organization, the welcome art program, logistics, ensuring order and safety, ensuring power supply, MC of the program and gifts for students in difficult circumstances were discussed and specific comments were given to perfect the organization plan.

Delegates exchanged and contributed many in-depth opinions related to the organization scenario, the form of the ceremony and the celebration decoration at the two points. Many opinions emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony is not only an event with the meaning of basic construction investment but also an activity demonstrating the Party and State's attention to education in border areas. Therefore, the preparation work, from arranging the space, stage, symbols, flags, banners, to the art program to welcome and welcome guests, and conduct the ceremony, needs to be carefully prepared to ensure solemnity.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of schools in Son Kim 1 commune and Huong Khe commune is an event of special political and social significance, demonstrating the attention of the Party, State and Government to the cause of education in border areas, and at the same time demonstrating Ha Tinh's determination to care for the young generation, improve people's knowledge, and create motivation for the development of mountainous areas. The groundbreaking ceremony needs to be organized solemnly, thoughtfully, safely and with humanistic meaning.
