On the afternoon of October 29th, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to hear reports on the preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony for school construction in Son Kim 1 and Huong Khe communes.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Trong Hai, and the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Bau Ha.

In line with the central government's policy on investing in school construction in border communes, Ha Tinh province plans to renovate and build seven boarding schools for primary and secondary levels during the 2025-2027 period. The border communes receiving investment for these schools include: Son Kim 1, Son Kim 2, Son Hong, Vu Quang, Huong Xuan, Huong Khe, and Huong Binh.
Based on surveys and proposals from localities, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province, in coordination with relevant departments and agencies, reviewed, compiled, and advised the Provincial People's Committee to select two schools in Son Kim 1 commune and Huong Khe commune that meet the criteria for implementation in 2025, and submitted them to the Ministry of Education and Training for consideration and reporting to the Government for approval.
The groundbreaking ceremony for school construction in border communes is scheduled to take place on November 2, 2025.
Currently, localities are reviewing and making preliminary calculations of the total investment based on the scale of schools and classrooms, the number of students, the construction site, and actual conditions, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and suitability with the central government's allocated funds after the Government approves the investment plan for the first phase of inter-level boarding schools in border communes.

At the meeting, delegates heard a presentation from representatives of the Provincial Project Management Board for Civil and Infrastructure Construction on the preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony of the school in Son Kim 1 and Huong Khe communes. Details regarding the reception of delegates, organizational arrangements, the welcoming cultural program, logistics, security, electricity supply, the MC for the program, and gifts for disadvantaged students were discussed and commented on to finalize the organizational plan.
Delegates exchanged and contributed many insightful opinions regarding the organizational script, ceremonial format, and decorations at both locations. Many emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony is not only an event significant in terms of basic infrastructure investment but also demonstrates the Party and State's concern for education in border regions. Therefore, preparation, from space arrangement, stage design, emblems, flags, banners, and posters, to the welcoming cultural program, guest reception, and ceremony management, needs to be meticulously planned to ensure solemnity.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of schools in Son Kim 1 and Huong Khe communes is an event of special political and social significance, demonstrating the concern of the Party, State, and Government for the cause of education in border areas, and also showing Ha Tinh's determination to care for the younger generation, raise the intellectual level of the people, and create momentum for the development of mountainous areas. The groundbreaking ceremony needs to be organized solemnly, meticulously, safely, and with rich humanitarian meaning.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that relevant departments, localities, and units thoroughly understand their tasks, coordinate closely, and proactively handle any arising situations to ensure the groundbreaking ceremony proceeds smoothly, safely, and effectively. At the same time, he urged them to strengthen communication efforts, showcasing the image of Ha Tinh as a dynamic, responsible, and dedicated province in the field of education.
