Preparing to organize a safe opening ceremony in rainy and flood conditions

TPO - Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son has just sent a telegram to the education sector of localities requesting them to prepare a plan to organize the opening ceremony of the new school year suitable to the weather conditions, ensuring absolute safety for students and teachers.

Telegram sent to the Directors of the Department of Education and Training of provinces and cities from Lam Dong province to the North with the content requesting to proactively respond to storm No. 6 while some localities are still overcoming the consequences of storm No. 5.

Heavy rains lasting for many days pose the risk of landslides, flash floods, and deep inundation, seriously affecting social life, especially preparations for the opening of the new school year 2025-2026.

To proactively respond to the weather, the Minister of Education and Training requested the Directors of the Departments of Education and Training of provinces and cities from Lam Dong and above to direct educational institutions to grasp the situation, review the current status of facilities, teaching equipment, textbooks and learning materials to have the best preservation measures.

Heavy rain, possibly causing flooding, can cut off roads in many places.

For damaged teaching equipment, tables, chairs, and school supplies, it is necessary to urgently have a repair plan so that they can be put into use soon.

Plan to repair and renovate affected structures, report to competent authorities to promptly arrange funding for repairs as soon as the water recedes, and ensure teaching and learning conditions from the beginning of the new school year.

Statistics on damage to textbooks and school supplies of students, send to the Ministry of Education and Training for timely support plan.

The Minister of Education and Training requested the Departments of Education and Training to direct educational institutions to prepare plans to organize the opening ceremony of the new school year in accordance with local weather conditions, ensuring absolute safety for students, teachers, and educational administrators.

Continuously update information and damage situation, daily report to the Ministry of Education and Training to synthesize reports to the Secretariat, Government, and Prime Minister.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the opening ceremony of the new school year will take place simultaneously for all schools nationwide on the morning of September 5. This school year's opening ceremony will be more special because the Ministry of Education and Training will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Ministry of Education and Training with the opening ceremony and online connection to all schools.
