The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has just announced the results of the assessment and ranking of the digital transformation index at the ministerial and provincial levels - DTI in 2022.
This is the third year that the Ministry of Information and Communications has organized an assessment and announced the ranking of digital transformation of ministries, branches and localities. In 2022, 100% of ministries and provinces had an increase in index compared to 2021.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Da Nang continues to be the leading locality in the country in digital transformation with three pillars: digital government, digital economy and digital society. This is also the third consecutive year that Da Nang has held the top position in digital transformation nationwide.
Ho Chi Minh City ranked 3rd in 2022, and this year, the city "finished" in 2nd place. In which, the "Digital Government" and "Digital Economy" categories of Ho Chi Minh City were both ranked 3rd out of 63 provinces and cities; "Digital Society" ranked 4th out of 63 provinces and cities.

This year, Hanoi's DTI index ranked 24th out of 63 provinces and cities. Of which, digital government ranked 40th out of 63 provinces and cities; digital economy ranked 18th out of 63; digital society ranked 30th out of 63.
The 10 provinces and cities with the highest DTI index include: Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Thua Thien Hue, Can Tho, Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Nam Dinh.
For ministries and sectors, the top ones are: Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, State Bank and Vietnam Social Security. 5 ministries and sectors with low DTI index include: Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and Ministry of Health.
