On the evening of September 4th, the premiere of the film "Red Rain" to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs took place at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Monument, Quang Tri province.

From dusk onwards, large crowds gathered at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel – the resting place of thousands of martyrs – to await the film screening. In this sacred space, everyone reminded themselves to "walk softly, speak quietly" and abide by the regulations of the Monument Management Board.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, from Quang Tri ward, Quang Tri province, said that when she heard about the screening of the film "Red Rain" at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, she and her family members were very excited and eagerly awaited the opportunity to watch the film.
This meaningful activity not only pays tribute to the heroic martyrs who fell for national independence but also contributes to rekindling national pride, patriotism, and indomitable spirit, right here in the sacred and heroic land of Quang Tri.
Ms. Cap Thi Thien Trang, Head of the Management Board of the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Area and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, said that the screening of the film "Red Rain" at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Monument - the setting recreated in the film - is a meaningful activity.
The Management Board has arranged projectors, LED screens, and seating for residents and tourists, and has coordinated with relevant agencies and units to ensure security and order.
In recent days, the film has been warmly received by the people, and many, after watching it, have come to Quang Tri Citadel to offer incense and flowers to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs.
Particularly during this year's National Day holiday on September 2nd, the number of visitors to the historical site increased to a record high; from August 30th to September 2nd, the site welcomed nearly 10,000 visitors.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chung, from Trieu Phong commune, Quang Tri province, shared that watching the film "Red Rain" helped him feel more deeply about the hardships and heroic sacrifices of the martyrs, as well as understand more about the historic 81 days and nights at Quang Tri Citadel. The film brought tears to the viewers' eyes and also helped everyone understand more about the value of peace .
The film "Red Rain" was adapted from a script by writer Chu Lai and directed by Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen, Deputy Director in charge of Art and Cinema of the People's Army.
The film is inspired by and fictionalizes the 81 days and nights of heroic and tenacious fighting by the people and soldiers defending the Quang Tri Citadel in 1972 - one of the fiercest battles of the 20th century.
The film combines on-location footage with modern special effects, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the battle that lasted for 81 days and nights.
In addition, the film recreates the Paris Conference, which showcased Vietnam's diplomatic prowess and just cause, contributing to a comprehensive reflection of its journey towards independence and peace.
The premiere of the film "Red Rain" is an event organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province in coordination with the People's Army Film Studio to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs and the people, agencies, units, and localities that have cooperated in supporting the production of this meaningful film.
In addition to being screened at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, on September 5th, the film "Red Rain" will continue to be shown free of charge at 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM at Rio CINEMAS, Vincom Plaza Dong Ha, to serve the people, officials, and soldiers in the area.
Additionally, the unit will hold a film screening for leaders and officials from provincial departments and agencies at 8 PM on September 5th or 8 AM on September 6th in Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri province.
