Local ticket policy applies to visitors with identification proving permanent residence in Thanh Hoa and who must verify their identity with Face ID at the gate. Required documents: For adults: Hard copy of Citizen Identity Card/National ID Card. For children: Hard copy of birth certificate or photograph. Additionally, visitors receive a 5% discount when purchasing tickets online at booking.sunworld.vn.
Mr. Tran Van Minh, Director of Sam Son Water Park, advises visitors to purchase tickets directly at the park's ticket counter, through the official website, or through reputable agents to avoid buying counterfeit or used tickets from unscrupulous individuals, ensuring a more complete experience.
Along with the water park, visitors should not miss the shopping and entertainment experience at the vibrant night market and bustling commercial streets in Sam Son Beach Square, and watch the unique water music show that takes place every evening (except Sunday).
With increasingly improved infrastructure and new experiences, Sam Son tourism is predicted to continue booming and become a year-round destination rich in experiences, aiming to welcome 8.5 million visitors this year and 10 million in the near future.
Sam Son's summer tourism products are booming.
Sam Son, the summer tourism hotspot of Thanh Hoa province, welcomed approximately 6 million visitors in the first six months of the year, accounting for 65% of the province's total visitors. Besides its beautiful beaches and convenient transportation, Sam Son Water Park and other projects invested in by Sun Group are considered key contributors to the popularity of this coastal city's tourism this summer.
According to a report by the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first six months of this year, the province welcomed nearly 9.8 million visitors, a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2023; total tourism revenue is estimated at nearly 20,000 billion VND, a 30% increase compared to the same period. Of this total, visitors to Sam Son accounted for over 65% of the total number of visitors to Thanh Hoa, with the rate of overnight stays increasing by more than 30% compared to the same period.
Ms. Minh Ha (a tourist from Hanoi) shared: “As soon as we set foot in Sam Son beach square, my family and I were amazed by its beauty. It truly is a ‘miniature Singapore.’ I didn’t think Sam Son would change so quickly after only 3 years.”
Sam Son is becoming increasingly attractive to tourists thanks to new tourism products that began to be developed this summer. A prime example is the Sam Son Beach Square and Festival Landscape Axis, invested in by Sun Group on the largest scale in Vietnam, which was inaugurated at the end of April. This well-invested public space attracted over 300,000 visitors to watch the opening night of the Sam Son Beach Tourism Festival 2024, along with a spectacular fireworks display.
Along with the seaside square, the water park, part of the Sun World Sam Son entertainment complex, which opened on June 30th, has given a strong boost to tourism in the coastal city. In just over an hour since opening, the water park has welcomed more than 4,000 visitors, partly demonstrating the excitement and anticipation of locals and tourists for this destination.
Mr. Le Trung Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Sam Son City Party Committee, said: “We highly appreciate the efforts of Sun Group in launching the Sam Son Water Park right during the peak summer tourist season.
